Have your say in the future of the LGBT community in Northern Ireland by attending an open public meeting to air your views!
As you may be aware the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Sector Steering Group has successfully received funding from the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) to employ a team of consultants to carry out a review and analysis of the LGBT sector. This review and analysis is being managed by the Coalition on Sexual Orientation (CoSO). As part of the research a number of Sub-Regional meetings are being organised to provide an opportunity for interested individuals and representatives from LGBT groups/organisations to have their say in relation to (1) the current state of community infrastructure for LGBT communities in NI and (2) identification of where, how and at what level infrastructure needs to be developed over the next ten years.
It is hoped that feedback from the Sub-Regional meetings will be beneficial in informing the Research report which may be used in the future to help meet the needs of the LGBT sector e.g. in drawing down funds, lobbying etc.
The Belfast Sub Regional meeting will take place Thursday the 7th of February '08 form 6.30p.m. to 9.00p.m. at Clanmill House Board Room.
